<br />
So sorry for the lack of posts recently but Lauren and I have been really busy with our dissertations and revising for our final exams.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4Kzsjp6tDTZ2g-gOAsJzLhAhj7m-U1_nGSWXetRoAwHEX1onWQS5QeJWZyArotBt0WpTnnUcB00Tutlu_CqvjE_WDQbkIquKReasofuZpf3ejHHN42lWLh98ztAnmJwjX_FGiVIz3GuPl/s1600/vaseline.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4Kzsjp6tDTZ2g-gOAsJzLhAhj7m-U1_nGSWXetRoAwHEX1onWQS5QeJWZyArotBt0WpTnnUcB00Tutlu_CqvjE_WDQbkIquKReasofuZpf3ejHHN42lWLh98ztAnmJwjX_FGiVIz3GuPl/s1600/vaseline.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
However I had to share a quick post about the new <b>Vaseline Essential Moisture Pure Oat</b> moisturiser. I have been searching for a great body moisturiser for ages and I have tried many before but never really found one that I love. However I have struck gold with Vaseline's latest product. It is AMAZING, smells great and leaves your skin feeling so soft for ages. If you love the hydration vaseline jelly gives to your lips then you will love the feeling of your skin, after you use their newest body moisturiser. I've seen it priced between £3 and £5 in different shops, so it is a brilliant high-street bargain. You don't need loads of moisturiser and it sinks into your skin really quickly, but smells amazing all day. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this product and the smell and packaging makes it feel really summery.<br />
<br />
Love Kathy<br />

The Shimmer Bricks are one of her most popular products, winning countless awards and in most 'must have for summer' lists. I love this product as it is a great highlighter, but you can also use the colours for eyes and mix with vaseline to make a great lip colour. It's fab for taking on holiday, if you don't have too much space for makeup. It gives you the perfect summer glow and there are loads of different shades, for example:<br />
<br />
1) Pink Quatrz Shimmer Brick<br />
2) Nectar Shimmer Brick<br />
3)Bronze Shimmer Brick<br />
4)Beige Shimmer Brick<br />
5)Rose Shimmer Brick<br />
<br />
All priced at £30.50<br />
<br />
I love the rose colour because it suits my paler skin tones, giving my cheeks just the right amount of pink colour and also the darker tones can be used as a great highlighter. However there is a perfect selection for most skin types.<br />
<br />
Verdict: Great product for the summer and one I'm sure you will buy again and again.<br />

But after a recommendation from one of my friends I thought I'd try the <strong>Lush Mint Julips Lip Scrub</strong> as she said it tasted amazing and really soothed her chapped lips, especially in the winter. I'm a bit of a newbie with Lush products but it was cheap-ish at £4.95 and I was up for trying anything so I thought I'd give it a go.</div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxn6Pe-ThmTxOW7k4IxgN7Mmm2cyxgOmfmn1Ep_NCZK4pfASjA5FYEELo0rxjjCVJouHccN82fGxUxYOTrgYfusk1kpw0RIqvUjk0tzkyLe23m8R337UYvPDN3G4YZ9StlNsH8R9LpK5rY/s1600/lipscrub.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxn6Pe-ThmTxOW7k4IxgN7Mmm2cyxgOmfmn1Ep_NCZK4pfASjA5FYEELo0rxjjCVJouHccN82fGxUxYOTrgYfusk1kpw0RIqvUjk0tzkyLe23m8R337UYvPDN3G4YZ9StlNsH8R9LpK5rY/s1600/lipscrub.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I must say, even after the first application I was impressed, and that was only cause it tasted <strong>absolutely divine</strong>! As it's made from completely natural and edible ingredients (mostly castor sugar) after you massage it into your lips you can just lick it right off! I know that sounds disgusting, but it seriously tastes amazing.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Lush claims the scrubs "are made from castor sugar to act as a gentle scrub and jojoba oil to be wonderfully moisturising but light enough not to leave you feeling greasy. Keeps lips in tip top condition, for kissing, pouting, talking or anything else you wish to do with them". After using the product every morning and night for about a week I really noticed a definite difference in my lips: they were softer with no dry patches and a much nicer base for pretty lipsticks which I normally stay away from! I'll be doing a Top 5 Everyday Lip Products soon so this scrub has come in incredibly hand!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><strong>Verdict</strong>: totally worth it for £4.95 as a little goes a long way with this stuff so I think mine</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">should last me a fair while. And it tastes amazing! If anything, just go try it for the taste! ;)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div>I've been on a mission to test out lots of new skin care products recently and I have to say I'm still a huge fan of the Elemis products. However there is a new must have product that I fist saw when exploring Lauren's makeup selection. I knew I had to try it myself and I can honestly say it is AMAZING.</div><div><br />
</div><div>It is the BareMinerals Pure Transformation Night Treatment. Yes, this product is expensive at £45 but I have never had such a result over just a few days. </div><div><br />
</div><div>BareMinerals claims that the product is:</div><div><br />
</div><blockquote class="tr_bq"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #666666; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 18px;">" Clinically proven to help dramatically reduce the appearance of pores, increase luminosity and deliver faster cell turnover-resulting in miraculous skin-renewing benefits. Experience younger-looking, radiant, even skin tone with improved texture. This concentrated powder formula replenishes skin while you sleep so you'll wake up to the famous bareMinerals naturally luminous glow.</span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #666666; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 18px;"> "</span></blockquote><br />
I can honestly say it does all of this and more. My skin looks brighter, feels less oily over the T-Zone and looks a lot healthier. I am amazed by this product. I did my research before I bought it because it is a lot of money to pay - however it has won awards and has rave reviews everywhere you look. You apply the powder,once a night before bed, using the brush in circular motions to cover all of the skin - it doesn't come off on your pillow and I have been told it lasts ages. You can get the product in clear ( I have this and you can't tell you have any product on) , or in light, medium or dark to match your skin tone and it just looks like you have the BareMinerals foundation on.<br />
<br />
Verdict: I know this is expensive but I have never seen such amazing results. If you shop around you can see it slightly cheaper at around £36. It lasts ages and is a must have.<br />
<br />
Has anyone got any suggestions for products similar to this which are cheaper?<br />

Kathy can tell you how obsessed I have been, and it shows: I have 8 of them (so far)</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div style="text-align: center;">There are 20 shades in the line, all named after something sweet which is a really cute touch and they are a completely unique formula. They are marketed as a lip butter in a stick, meaning they are soft and creamy and feel smooth and moisturising on the lips unlike some lipsticks that can be drying.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtBZ9uueui91HJiQ31RYsVlEB7N9xzGfJrQ_ALEq_sUkCJR_thH_odj3VBB7X9OTRxsrnMNG7iAr58yybFib8KMG0Ij8JPfdN2gGLYoOq0F7_1GbvQPRMvVlrkQ5gWjTs7gT4w2u4QcfHK/s1600/lipbutters.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="339" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtBZ9uueui91HJiQ31RYsVlEB7N9xzGfJrQ_ALEq_sUkCJR_thH_odj3VBB7X9OTRxsrnMNG7iAr58yybFib8KMG0Ij8JPfdN2gGLYoOq0F7_1GbvQPRMvVlrkQ5gWjTs7gT4w2u4QcfHK/s640/lipbutters.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><em>From left to right:</em> <em>Sugar Frosting, Cotton Candy, Strawberry Shortcake, Sweet Tart, Berry Smoothie, Lollipop, Raspberry Pie, Macaroon</em></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I have to say I am very impressed with the pigmentation! Most lip balms I have tried are moisturising but have very little colour pay-off, but these are incredible, especially <strong>Lollipop</strong> which is my favourite colour! The staying power isn't fantastic, but considering it is marketed as a lip balm product I wasn't completely surprised, but it didn't feel an effort to reapply them through the day, and they are so creamy I didn't even use a gloss on top!</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjA4Xtsai0SKnn0TF8DNun1d-Gg10I2oK6u-dS1W7bKHY5_WzjZMBCG-yu4VbK9YvKRpFNhzrDmy8uwRGqUoJq-GQWDRpV5NH_QJR7V1KfrlrmUl05nog1zDe_x2_TzuRc2do1Lwzy4UDEc/s1600/lipbutters2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjA4Xtsai0SKnn0TF8DNun1d-Gg10I2oK6u-dS1W7bKHY5_WzjZMBCG-yu4VbK9YvKRpFNhzrDmy8uwRGqUoJq-GQWDRpV5NH_QJR7V1KfrlrmUl05nog1zDe_x2_TzuRc2do1Lwzy4UDEc/s640/lipbutters2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><em>From left to right:</em> <em>Sugar Frosting, Cotton Candy, Strawberry Shortcake, Sweet Tart, Berry Smoothie, Lollipop, Raspberry Pie, Macaroon</em></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The only downside in my book is also what makes them amazing - the fact that they are so <strong>soft</strong>! As a clumsy person with absolutely no grace, I have squashed the edges of these a couple of times when applying and winding them up and down, but I guess that just comes from the creamy formulation. A word of warning, be careful when winding them up and down!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><strong>Verdict</strong>: 100% recommendation from me! I can't get enough of these little beauties and they are definitely a staple in my makeup for Spring and Summer this year, especially when they are only £7.99! (Boots is having a 3 for 2 sale at the moment so get down quick to get 3 for £16!!) My favourite shades are Strawberry Shortcake, Sweet Tart and Lollipop, let me know which ones yours are!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div>So here are my top 5 wish-list items for some perfect summer outfits. </div><div><br />
</div><div>1) Gold/ White Dress - Dorothy Perkins - £39. 50. This dress is so smart and can be used for so many summer events. It would brighten up your work wear or you could wear it for summer drinks or bbqs. I adore this dress. </div><div><br />
</div><div>2) Pearl Bottle Necklace - Accessorize- £12 - I think this necklace is so cute. You could wear it alone with a dress or shirt, or with a few other necklaces and t-shirt for a layered casual/chic effect. I think it is quite unique. </div><div><br />
</div><div>3)Beach Bag -River Island- £35- I have never really bought a specific beach bag - I usually just re-use a big winter bag - but I love this River Island one. I love the size, style and colour. I'm not sure white is the best colour when on the beach as it may get dirty but that being said, I am still desperate for this gorgeous bag - will go great with any summer outfit. </div><div><br />
</div><div>4) White Sandals - ASOS- £17- These sandals are fab! I love the grecian style with the more open sandal at the back. Great for those lighter summer outfits.</div><div><br />
</div><div>5)Rose Print Chiffon Skirt - New Look- £24.99 - I love anything floaty and light in the summer. Winter and warm clothes are great but in the summer it's time to make the most of lighter, brighter clothes. This skirt is beautiful. The stone colour matched with the rose print, works beautifully together. It can be dressed up or down as well as being perfect for holidays and the beach.</div><div><br />
</div><div>I can't wait to go out and splurge on some amazing summer clothes and accessories. Has anyone else spotted some must have white, stone or neutral colours for Summer 2012 ??</div><div><br />

I literally have tried almost every kind of heated styling tool on my long blonde hair to make it look different, so I couldn't wait to try this out.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj13-Ws3BXZ1ZvcjHGmVJUW-Tr4JJRpmgAdH5VRG4gh22cdTUGJwGDru6nh7ZR9vVq9P2SODQ5hwATBXJ7YO8_A0FfC2rIWQldXlGDHnqCrXZ7yJIQh-TVvis-fh5MFCX5-tUkHPbVL3a-F/s1600/Amplifyjumbowaver.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="255" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj13-Ws3BXZ1ZvcjHGmVJUW-Tr4JJRpmgAdH5VRG4gh22cdTUGJwGDru6nh7ZR9vVq9P2SODQ5hwATBXJ7YO8_A0FfC2rIWQldXlGDHnqCrXZ7yJIQh-TVvis-fh5MFCX5-tUkHPbVL3a-F/s400/Amplifyjumbowaver.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
<br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><strong>Enrapture</strong> is a fairly new company to the UK market and I'd heard of it before I was lucky enough to receive the Jumbo Waver for Christmas, but I had never tried any of their products before, mainly because of the price tag, but we'll get to that later! Enrapture claims that "The luxury new Amplify Jumbo Waver allows you to easily create big, tousled ‘s’ waves, texture and volume for a rock, beachy or bohemian look", so lets see!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwGVuqJssunDUWzH4NTvTvhFNbiQirUM_j-D-kU8CCkdCCtSYoxBJsqNd1DHDh2rNFeHRhuQKTw0JF-ExJZ5e8lY-eq0DuYgGSNXeWTP3JL2N4pqBuSh5IQj6Ut9Ocu44TBtlIUbFRG8m3/s1600/IMG_1656.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwGVuqJssunDUWzH4NTvTvhFNbiQirUM_j-D-kU8CCkdCCtSYoxBJsqNd1DHDh2rNFeHRhuQKTw0JF-ExJZ5e8lY-eq0DuYgGSNXeWTP3JL2N4pqBuSh5IQj6Ut9Ocu44TBtlIUbFRG8m3/s400/IMG_1656.JPG" width="300" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">This is the end result to my hair after using the Waver. It's definitely a boho beachy wave look and I do like what is does to my hair! I didn't want to wave it all the way to the top as I'm growing out my fringe, but I love the loose tousled waves it creates, different from my usual soft curls I usually rock!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Now time for the negatives! As I already mentioned, it is shockingly expensive at <strong>£74.99</strong> for a hair tool and on a student budget I definitely wouldn't have bought it myself. Unless you have a lovely person to get you it as a present like me, I'd say it may not be worth it. Second negative, it is massive and clunky! By that I mean it is very easy to burn yourself. As someone pretty experienced with heated tools I burnt myself twice using this thing as it is difficult to get the hang of.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><strong>Verdict</strong>: I absolutely love the different 'rock chick' look it does to my hair and wouldn't want to give mine up, but at £75 probably too much for your average student! Tip, try rocking straighteners back and forth down your hair, does pretty much the same thing ;)</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />

</div>Hello my lovelies!<br />
<br />
THANK YOU for asking me to be your guest blogger! Sorry it’s taken me an age…<br />
Anyway! I want talk about the awesomeness that is the <strong>Mac Liquidlast Liner</strong>.<br />
<br />
As a skint student, usually I believe any form of liquid liner that is over a fiver is extortionate, and not worth it… This bad boy, however, is worth every penny of the £14.<br />
With one coat, it is seriously black, and goes on beautifully. (I tend to opt for my <strong>Bobbi Brown liner brush</strong> instead of the one in the product. The brush tip is a bit too flimsy - you get this with most liquid liners these days; massive ball-ache.)<br />
<br />
The most desireable element of the liner for me, is how long it lasts. It. Does. Not. Budge. You can cry, go swimming (tried and tested), run for the bus in a monsoon, and it goes nowhere. Granted, it’s a bugger to get off, when you’re merry after 5 sambucas and having trouble getting your tights off, but the fact it has stayed on all night is a testament to it’s fabulousness.<br />
It also lasts forever, long-term. The bottle is tiny (2.5 ml) but it goes such a long way, its unbelieveable! I can buy it annually, and wear it every day.<br />
<br />
As the picture demonstrates, I love using it as a finishing touch to smokey eyes. With big flicks on its own, it has a hints retro; any way this liner is applied, is bound to be gorgeous, and I use it in my daily makeup routine.<br />
<br />
<strong>Overall verdict:</strong> 8/10. It’s my favourite, most reliable product in my makeup box.<br />
<br />
Loads of love!<br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br />
I really think that keeping your skin in great condition, makes you feel not only confident but makes your skin look glowing and makeup look absolutely flawless. I definitely think investing in a good skincare product is a must and there are some great high- street products as well as more expensive brands which I would definitely recommend.<br />
<br />
I can't say enough brilliant things about <b>Elemis</b> products. They smell amazing and make my skin 100% better - that is when I stick to my skin care routine properly which I will admit I haven't been doing recently. However, summer approaches and I'm on a mission to get amazing summer skin, so I'll be getting back on track !<br />
<br />
<b>Elemis</b> make loads of products for different skin types; I'm combination skin so my life savers are the <i>Apricot Toner(£19.40)</i> and <i>Soothing Chamomile Cleanser (£19.40)</i>. Using both once a day really makes my skin look healthy and bright and balances it out completely. I also use the <b>Elemis</b> <i>Gentle Rose Exfoliator (£25.60)</i> twice a week - it's gentle on my skin but removes all the dead skin etc. The best tip I was ever given was by a beautician who said always use exfoliator or the other products won't sink in and do their job. Therefore I would say exfoliating twice a week is essential.<br />
<br />
Because I wear glasses a lot, my eyes sometimes get a bit dry and sensitive. However I've noticed a difference when using the <i>Pro- Collagen Eye Renewal *</i> from <b>Elemis</b>. It makes skin firmer and my eyes look a lot less "tired"!!<br />
<br />
Lot's of people have been telling me how good the <b>Liz Earle</b> products are and I have been tempted to try them for ages. I did recently buy the<i> Instant Boost Skin Tonic (£12.50). </i>I have been using it and definitely noticed a difference in my skin. I usually put it on about ten minutes before I put my makeup on, and it makes my skin look fresh and nourishes it before I apply heavier foundation for a night out. I think, my skin definitely responds better to the <b>Elemis</b> products, however if any of you can recommend more <b>Liz Earle </b>must haves, let me know !<br />
<br />
Finally, my other skin care musts are vaseline (any kind ,various prices). I couldn't live without this for keeping my lips from getting dry. I have about a million pots in bags and drawers all over my room!! Also I recently discovered <i>tea-tree makeup wipes (£4)</i> from <b>Body Shop. </b>These wipes are amazing, treating spots and getting rid of impurities every time you take off your makeup. However they do sting a bit around your eyes, so I usually take my eye makeup off with a normal makeup wipe and then remove foundation with these beauties from <b>Body Shop</b>. It's great to have a product that helps my skin when it removes the makeup.<br />
<br />
However, as I'm embarking on a new skin care routine please let me know if you guys have found any great alternatives or must have skin care products. Elemis Pro- Collagen Eye Renewal is £58 on website however I got it in a set which was £25 - special offer. If anyone has any great eye treatments for MUCH cheaper (!!!!) please let me know.<br />
<br />

I know everyone’s opinions will differ, but thought I’d share my favourite with you!<o:p></o:p></span></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: center;"><span style="mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">I have quite a large collection as, like I said, I’m a little bit obsessed but my favourite ones are definitely at the sweet and fruity end of spectrum, even in my heavier night time choices. I am absolutely rubbish at describing fragrances so apologies!<o:p></o:p></span></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />

The website describes it as “a millefleurs around the freesia, Centifolia rose, osmanthus and Sambac jasmine, supported by a background of patchouli”. If, like me, that means absolutely nothing to you then basically it just smells like a sweet, fruity and fresh. Definitely my favourite perfume!<o:p></o:p></span></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: center;"><span style="mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">I got Kathy this for her birthday last year! The website describes the scent as “a mouthwatering pink guava and mandarin, followed by a delicate mix of tuberose and lotus blossom. Behind it all, precious woods and sheer musk envelope a passionate elegance.” Again, it’s lovely and sweet but slightly sexier than Flowerbomb so I’d be more inclined to wear this in the evening, especially as it lasts a fair amount longer.<o:p></o:p></span></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: center;"><span style="mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Next is <strong>Kylie Minogue ‘Sweet Darling’</strong></span></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjl3gPfQAbAT3nG2zFK2azpa_V-5nftdEaFr9Kz12KXGzPSXB9Z2uXyGbZsHwY2K_bJte0nIotvPqDgHBzMDJmVqlsoJbgFEiAKGCWtwU8QC55c2FBphZ7F4JLUYL7JoxHYRGz8r2RNzGfM/s1600/perfume3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="245" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjl3gPfQAbAT3nG2zFK2azpa_V-5nftdEaFr9Kz12KXGzPSXB9Z2uXyGbZsHwY2K_bJte0nIotvPqDgHBzMDJmVqlsoJbgFEiAKGCWtwU8QC55c2FBphZ7F4JLUYL7JoxHYRGz8r2RNzGfM/s320/perfume3.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: center;"><span style="mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">I couldn’t possibly make a top fragrances blog without mentioning this little beauty as it was the perfume I wore every single day from the age of 16 to 19 and it became ‘my scent’. At the risk of sounding boring, it’s a lovely sweet fragrance described as “a fusion of sweet cotton candy accord, juicy passion fruit, opulent freesia, and boronia" but it is so much cheaper than the previous two! Devastatingly, they have now stopped selling this perfume! You can still get it online from amazon or cheapsmells.com, but no longer sell it in shops so I have stocked up like a badger stocking up for hibernation!<o:p></o:p></span></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: center;"><span style="mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Finally, my night time fragrance is <strong>Paco Rabanne ‘Lady Million’</strong></span></span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: center;"><span style="mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Again, this is a ridiculously famous perfume that Paco Rabanne released as the female version of their popular ‘1 Million’ cologne and I picked it up maybe a year ago now. This tends to be my night time fragrance as it is definitely a sexy perfume and I feel much more confident and ready for a night out when I put it on! It’s definitely still at the sweet end of the spectrum, but it feels like a more grown-up scent and much more appropriate for night time!</span></span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: center;"><br />

</div>Just to say a huge <u>HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO LAUREN </u>! It is her 21st today and we had an amazing night out last night !!! It was even better because the amount of work we have in our last year of uni stops us going out much, so it was a well needed night out. Great music, great friends and great drinks !<br />

<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">I’m pretty sure anybody who is anybody has heard of the original <strong>Urban Decay</strong> Naked palette, released early last year and took the makeup industry by storm! It sold out immediately and it took me a good few months to get my hands on one, but ever since it has been a major staple in my makeup bag. When I heard Urban Decay was releasing the <strong>Naked2</strong> a few weeks ago I knew I needed it in my life!</span><br />

</div><div class="MsoNormal"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal">This is definitely my favourite product at the minute - bit of a life saver! I’ve lost count of how many different brands of fake tan I’ve tried but I've finally found one I can rely on. It doesn’t streak at all and goes on so easily as it’s just an aerosol, coming out looking brown instead of orange, like most others I’ve tried. I think it’s best to spray it in fairly straight lines and I like to rub it in a tiny bit with a mitt or gloves, just so it dries a bit quicker. I’d say drying time is about 5 minutes so not long at all, but you have to leave it a few hours before washing. It’s also a great product that stays on for a few days. It achieves the effect of a spray tan so it’s great for when you have a couple of events going on over a few days! It is very pricey at around £25 depending on which shop you get it from but it tends to last me a good couple of months as I only need to use it once a week so think it’s definitely worth the price!<o:p></o:p><br />

</div><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Hi everyone, so it’s the end of the month so I thought I’d do an overview of my favourite products I have discovered and loved this month! I haven’t got too many products as February has been a bit of a slow month for me, but I have been experimenting with my make up and hair so I do have a couple of things to show you!</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"> </div><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">First off, the Soap and Glory <strong>‘Kiss Ass Concealer’</strong>. Soap and Glory have only relatively recently started making make up, but so far all the products I have tried have been of a pretty good standard for high street prices! The concealer is my favourite because it comes with two different shades, a white power and a mirror so I use it as my on-the-go concealer now.</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"> </div><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Second, the John Frieda <strong>‘Full Repair’</strong> line of hair products. I have just done a review on most of the new John Frieda line so I don’t need to repeat myself, but basically, for a high street hair product line for style addicts, it’s amazing!</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"> </div><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Next up is the Solta Beautiful Bronze <strong>‘Self-Tan Back Applicator’</strong>. If, like me, you have a nightmare trying to fake tan your back and you usually get your unwilling friends to help you, then this product is a dream! Basically it is a fake tanning pad on the end of a long stick! Sounds strange, but you just apply whatever fake tan you desire to use to the end of the pad and then, with the help of the long handle, can reach places you wouldn’t normally be able to! Such a find!</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"> </div><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">One product that definitely deserves mention this month is Urban Decay’s new <strong>Naked 2 palette</strong>. This has only recently come out in the UK but I was able to get my hands on one of the fastest selling make up palettes and I love it. I’m going to do a full review on the palette soon so I won’t bore you but, clearly, its one of my faves!</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"> </div><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Now I know <strong>Tangle Teezers</strong> have been out for a long time now, but February was a month when I finally convinced myself to buy one. I’ve been sceptical as I have more hairbrushes than I know what to do with, but Kathy convinced me they were amazing and she was not wrong! I have horribly tangled hair when I get out of the shower, but the tangle teezer has been great at detangling without pulling my hair out. Definitely a good find for February.</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"> </div><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Also, <strong>No.17</strong> new (ish) eye shadow products, similar to MAC paint pots but at a fraction of the cost. I have two of the Metallic eye shadows in Wild Silver and Gold and they have pretty decent pigmentation and last longer than any other high street pot eyeshadow. They do have a tendency to crease a little, but if you use it with a primer it should be fine!</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"> </div><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Finally, my favourite favourite of the month is the new lipstick I got a few weeks ago from <strong>Barry M</strong>, the number 145. It’s a gorgeous bright purpley-pink that looks amazing with a coral gloss over the top. I’m a bit scared of bright lipsticks normally as I have small lips, but the Barry M product when on so smoothly and lasted a fair while on my lips! I’ll have to start getting into bright lips more soon!</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"> </div><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Hope you enjoyed my February favourites!</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"> </div><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Love Lauren</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"> </div><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">xxx</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"> </div>Lauren and Kathyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11967970327464702680noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-669833469910710863.post-58811925154218592932012-02-26T15:09:00.000-08:002012-02-26T15:09:45.961-08:00I have to buy...<div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; background-image: url(http://assets.tumblr.com/images/input_bg.gif); background-origin: initial; background-position: 50% 0%; background-repeat: repeat no-repeat; color: black; font-family: 'Lucida Grande', Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-weight: normal; line-height: 1.4; margin-bottom: 8px; margin-left: 12px; margin-right: 12px; margin-top: 8px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;"><br />

<br />
I cannot wait to buy this new Simple eye makeup corrector pen. I've seen it advertised for a while and at the next opportunity I'll be out buying this gem ! For £4.99 it is a great price and will save so much time when applying eye makeup. If I'm in a rush I always end up making a mistake on my eye makeup so instead of taking it all off this will save so much time. It will avoid re-doing foundation and concealer under the eye, as well as removing excess eyeshadow, if you use powders a lot.<br />
<br />
<strong>Verdict:</strong> If it is anything like the other simple makeup remover products I imagine it will be amazing. Price is not bad either ! Can't wait to go and buy one.<br />
<br />
If any of you have tried it let me know what you think !<br />
<br />

I wasn’t expecting much as the products start from £5.59 from Boots but they really do measure up to much more expensive, salon brand products! I used the ‘Full Repair’ Shampoo, Conditioner and deep Infusion serum and they left my hair feeling light, smooth and healthy and smelling amazing.</span></div><div class="MsoNormal"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />

</ul><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">So... I am absolutely obsessed with Cath Kidston. I love nothing more than building up my collection, including my new Kindle cover. One of my friends got me hooked on the products and I'm forever grateful because most of these products are exactly the style I love, vintage/chique. However one of my best buys was the Cath Kidston makeup brush set. I always think you need to invest in decent makeup brushes but this set is amazing and at a fairly good price, £25. You get a big powder and blusher brush as well as three eye shadow blending brushes, an eyebrow shaping brush and an eye shadow bud brush. Mine has been well used because I take it everywhere when I travel. It's easy to transport because it rolls up making it compact. The brushes are surprisingly good and I love being able to take a good variety of brushes around with me. You can get the set in many different patterns. It also has a zip storage section, where you can store a few products or cotton wool pads etc.</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />
</span><br />
<strong><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Verdict</span></strong><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> : A great buy, very convenient and good quality. Worth it for frequent travellers who can't take all their brushes with them but want a great selection.</span><br />

<div class="MsoNormal"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;">Recently I decided to embark on a mission to get my hair back into its pre-straightener/ highlighted condition. My hair is pretty thick so I needed to try and find something that would be suitable and I can honestly say I have found the perfect hair products - Kérastase products. Yes, they are slightly expensive, but if you buy the right products it is an amazing investment and they do last a long time. I have noticed an amazing results on my own hair, it’s looking in much better condition even with all the straightening that still goes on!</span></span></div><div class="MsoNormal"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"> Kérastase products are amazing but my favourite ones have been the:</span></span></div><div class="MsoNormal"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"><br />

You apply it by rubbing a pin size amount onto wet hair. You can also use it as a leave in conditioning treatment. I noticed a massive improvement on my hair when I used this after every wash. It makes it so much softer and brighter and it smells amazing too. This is a product I will use for years to come and it has lasted for ages too!!! </span></span></div><div class="MsoNormal"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;">You can also get the equivalent as a heat protector. They come in a wide selection of sizes, although all of mine were the small nail sizes so I had a fair few left over, but I guess I could cut them down to a better shape for another use. Like Myleene claimed, you don't need to use heat to get them to stick, but I tried with using a hairdryer for a couple of them and they definitely latched onto my natural nail better, so if you do go for these, maybe pass them under a hairdryer for a couple of seconds before applying. Otherwise, these were a great success for me! They lasted just over a week and I certainly put them to the test, I went out to a club three different nights with them on and they didn't budge!</span></span><br />
